LAHJ, Aug. 06 (YPA) – A wounded officer loyal to the coalition committed suicide due to neglect and failure to provide treatment by the leadership in Lahj Governorate, southern Yemen.
A human rights source in the governorate confirmed that citizens found the body of Ali Salem Qudaih al-Mashouli, a wounded member of the Saudi-backed factions, hanged days after his disappearance due to the psychological pressures resulting from negligence by the faction leaders.
The source stated that al-Mashouli, a graduate of the 26th batch of the Naval College, left his home three days ago to look for a loan to satisfy his family’s hunger, after he was surprised that his entire financial dues had been deducted by the leadership of the pro-Saudi “Homeland Shield” factions, which plunged him into severe psychological suffering.
The source explained that citizens found al-Mashouli’s body hanging from a mountain in the Umlubia area.
He died in tragic circumstances after dogs devoured hisBODY, the source added.
He pointed out that “Al-Mashouli” was one of the wounded who were fighting in the ranks of the coalition forces in the Mansoura area in 2015, whereas he suffered from neglect and did not receive any treatment for his injury.
Al-Mashouli’s suicide sparked widespread resentment among the members of his tribe, the Mashawla, in Al-Subaiha, who demanded an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding al-Mashouli’s deprivation of his financial and humanitarian rights.
