Pro-coalition leader survives assassination attempt in Dhalea

DHALEA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – A leader in the Saudi-led coalition forces was subjected on Thursday to an assassination attempt in the city center of Dhalea province, south of Yemen.

Local sources said in the city affirmed that the so-called leader of the staff of the 12th Brigade of al-Amaliqa was injured when unidentified gunmen believed to be affiliated with the UAE-backed Security Belt” militia opened fire on his convoy, while he passing through the city center.

The attack also led to killing one of companions and other civilian, as well as destroying a military vehicle.

The sources added that that the clashes spread to the residential neighborhoods, creating a state of terror among the residents.
