Citizen killed in Shabwa

SHABWA, April 28 (YPA) – A citizen was killed Sunday evening in the center of Ataq city, the capital of Shabwa governorate, which is under the control of Saudi-led coalition forces.

Local sources in the city confirmed that a Qat seller was shot dead by gunmen believed to be affiliated with the Shabwani Elite Forces, backed by the UAE.

He was pronounced dead on the spot, according to the sources.

According to the sources the citizens attempted to transfer the victim to a hospital, but he passed away.

The gunmen managed to flee to an unknown location amidst a state of security chaos that has been witnessed in Shabwa directorates since 2016.
