UAE militias sign agreement with Islah Party to media battles in Taiz

ADEN, Sept. 24 (YPA) – UAE-funded Tariq Afash” signed an agreement with the Islah Party to stop the media battles with the Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias.

Head of the Hana Aden Center for Strategic Studies and the former media advisor at the embassy affiliated with the coalition government in Riyadh, Anis Mansour, explained that Afash move came so that Ansarullah and STC would not benefit from the battles.

The agreement was signed by leader of the Congress Party, Abd al-Salam al-Dahbali on behalf of Afash, with the head of the Islah Party in Taiz, Abdul Hafez al-Faqih, without giving more details.

Political observers believe that Islah is moving to hand over the military sites under its control in the countryside of Taiz to “Tareq Afash,” without confrontations, and their agreement to neutralize the “STC” that rejects the return of the head of the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, and the rest of the members to Aden.
