UAE pushes Tariq Afash forces to Abayn

ABYAN, Sept. 24 (YPA) – The UAE pushed Tariq Afash forces to one of camps in Lawdar district of Abayn province, south of Yemen.

Local sources familiar with the matter said that the UAE directed part of the “Afash” forces located at the airport in Ataq city, to move to one of Lawdar camps near Bayda province.

At the end of December 2021, the UAE pushed many of the brigades of “Tariq Afash” located on the western coast, to Shabwa after the overthrow of the governor, loyal to Islah Party, Mohammed Saleh bin Adio.

“Afash” forces participated in the confrontations that erupted between the UAE-backed militia of “Shabwa Defense and “Amaliqa “, and Islah party militants inside Ataq city during the first week of last August.
