Violent explosions rock Al-Anad Air Base in Lahj

LAHJ, Sept. 14 (YPA) – About 3 violent explosions rocked Al-Anad Air Base in Lahj province, southern Yemen.

Southern journalist, Ali Al-Nassi, twitted that the explosions targeted weapons depots inside Al-Anad base.

In the first response by the UAE militias, the spokesman for the “Southern Transitional Council” militias in the fourth military region, Mohammed al-Naqib, stated that the explosions were the result of what he described as “projectiles” from the remnants of the war, according to military sources inside the base.

This came one day after the Saudi-led coalition forces announced the implementation of a military maneuver for warplanes at the base.

Al-Anad Air Base is considered the most important military base for the coalition forces in southern Yemen, where American and Emirati forces and experts are present.
