HADRAMOUT, Aug. 21 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia allowed on Sunday the return of a senior commander to the city of Seiyun, Wadi Hadramout provincial capital.
Local sources familiar with the matter said, “Saleh Mohammed Tomai, the commander of the First Military Region, arrived at Seiyun Airport from the Saudi capital, Riyadh,” adding that Tomai’s return came at the lost time, after the UAE-funded militia approached the first districts of Wadi Hadramout and took control of Al-Uqla oil field in Shabwa.
The sources confirmed that Tomai directed to raise the combat readiness of all the “first military Region brigades,” and spread its gunmen loyal to the leader of the Islah party, Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, as well as to create new sites at the entrances to the areas of Jaroub al-Faqr and Bruge, north of Seiyun.
He held an emergency meeting after arriving at the region command, in the presence of the region’s staff, Yahya Abu Auja, who directed military reinforcement at the northern and western entrances to Seiyun.
