Iraq’s defense ministry: The duty of the security forces to protect protesters and public and private property

BAGDAD, Aug. 01 (YPA) – The Ministry of Defense stressed that the Iraqi army is at the service of the people and the duty of the security forces to protect demonstrators and public and private property, Iraqi News Agency reported on Monday.

In a statement, The ministry stated in confirmed  that the Iraqi army, with all its leaders and affiliates, are at the service of the Iraqi people and stand at a distance one with the people.

Meanwhile, Iraq’s security media cell has rejected all attempts to make security forces part of the current political situation.

The cell denied reports by security leaders about the political situation and its interference.
