Hezbollah: “Building Lebanon requires national unity, resistance is essential part of power equation”
BEIRUT, Aug. 05 (YPA) – Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed that building Lebanon is based on national partnership and rejecting foreign tutelage, emphasizing that the resistance will remain an essential part of the country’s power equation.
In a televised speech on Tuesday, Qassem accused “Israel” of violating the ceasefire agreement concluded by the Lebanese state, stressing that the resistance is committed to it.
Qassem also rejected what he described as “American dictates” aimed at stripping Lebanon of its power. He revealed an American memorandum that included an Israeli withdrawal from three points in exchange for the dismantling of 50% of Hezbollah’s infrastructure, a proposal rejected by the party.
In a clear warning, Qassem emphasized that the Israeli occupation’s interest lies in avoiding any widespread aggression, noting that the resistance, the people, and the army will defend themselves strongly, and that the resistance’s missiles will reach deep within the entity if war breaks out.
