Israeli occupation forces arrest more than 40 Palestinians

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Aug. 01 (YPA) – Zionist enemy forces at dawn on Monday launched a campaign of arrests and large-scale raids in various parts of the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian sources said that enemy forces arrested more than 42 Palestinian citizens, after storming camps, villages, towns and various neighborhoods of the West Bank.

According to the sources, the occupation army has rounded up 26 Palestinians from various towns in the Hebron district, most of them former prisoners and some were held in administrative detention for many years, while two were said to be in their mid to late 50s in age.

Elsewhere in the West Bank, soldiers detained two people from Nablus city and the town of Beit Furik, near Nablus. During the raid of Nablus, a Palestinian man was shot in the leg by a live bullet and taken to hospital.

Three people were also detained after an army raid of the town of Jayyous, near Qalqilya city, including a 45-year-old man, one person was detained from the town of Sanour, near Jenin, after raiding his home, and two were detained from Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem, including a 55-year-old man.

In the Ramallah area, a 17-year-old boy was detained following a Zionist raid of his homes in Jalazon refugee camp.

Israeli occupation  forces detained a youth at Shufat refugee camp in occupied al-Quds, according to the report.
