Coalition troops commit 160 violations of UN-declared military, humanitarian truce in Yemen

SANAA, Jul. 31 (YPA) – The US-backed Saudi-led aggression coalition forces and their mercenaries have committed 160 violations of the humanitarian and military truce, the official Yemeni news agency Saba reported on Sunday, citing a military source.

According to the military source, 36 armed reconnaissance aircrafts flew over Marib, Taiz, Hodeida, Jawf, Hajjah, Saada, Dhalea provinces and border fronts.

The source pointed out that six breaches included air strikes of reconnaissance planes at citizens’ homes and army’s sites in Al-Barh area of Taiz and north of Hays district in Hodeida.

The mercenaries created new combat fortifications in north and east of Hays district, in front of Al-Baks in Al-Jabalia area of Tuhayta district in Hodeida province and in Maqbana district of Taiz city.

He also confirmed that 22 violations by artillery shelling were recorded at the army’s sites in Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, Hodeida and border fronts.

The source mentioned that an artillery bombardment attacked the army’s sites in Al-Ahtoob area of Taiz, Haradh, Bani Hassan areas of Hajjah, Qatabir, Al-Madafin and Al-Malaheedh districts of Saada.

The source pointed out that an artillery shelling targeted sites of the Yemeni army in Al-Jabalia area of Tuhayta district and Hays district in Hodeida, Al-Sakhrah area of Asir region, Al-Amood of Wadi Jara, Jabal Twailq, Al-Kanab, and Al-Kanab Al-Qadim areas of Jizan border province.

In addition, the source declared that 96 breaches were recorded, with heavy shooting at citizens’ homes and sites of the army and popular committees in Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, Hodeida, Bayda, Dhalea and border fronts.
