MARIB, July. 23 (YPA) – Sultan Al-Arada, appointed by the Saudi-led coalition as governor of Marib and a member of the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council, launched on Saturday an unprecedented attack on the Saudi-led coalition and the authority loyal to it in Aden.
In an interview with the BBC, Al-Arada referred to the failure of the Council and its inability to carry out any task by reviewing what he described as the complexities and difficulties it faced.
He hinted that the coalition refused to provide any support and attempted to exploit the council to achieve a special agenda.
The appearance of Al-Arada, who recently boycotted the Council’s sessions in Aden, came amid reports of pressures to dismiss him from the post of governor of the most important oil province and to keep his position as a member of the council.
Marib is the most important source of income for Al-Arada, who seizes all its resources and refuses to supply it even to the central bank of Aden.
