SANAA, July. 23 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center on Saturday warned citizens of dangers of torrential rains sweeping valleys and water ways in most Yemeni provinces.
In its forecast, the center expected rain of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, from Lahj in the south until Saada in the north, as well as to Jawf, Marib, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, and Bayda.
It stated that strong winds ranged between 25-55 knots in the Socotra archipelago, and 15-25 knots on the Gulf of Aden and the eastern and southern coasts.
The center called on citizens to take caution against mudslides and rock collapses and from low horizontal visibility due to rain.
