Sanaa security forces arrest man with 1 kilogram of Shabu

SANAA, Jul. 20 (YPA) – Security forces in the capital Sanaa seized a quantity of hashish, narcotics and arrested the accused of who was having  it.

The secretariat’s police forces said they seized a kilogram of hashish and a small bag containing the drug.

It explained that the accused had come down to a hotel and placed the seized quantity in a bag at the hotel receptionists in exchange for renting the room. When the receptionists asked, the accused to open the bag to check what was inside it in accordance with the procedures followed in all hotels, the accused man refused and uttered to the workers, which led to verbal altercations between him and the hotel workers.

The police further explained that a number of hotel workers informed the patrol of the police forces nearby, which in turn rushed to the site to prevent the fight, and asked the accused to open the bag, and when he opened it.

They found a kilogram of hashish, “ Shabu” in the bag and a number of other  bags containing other narcotic substances.

The police forces praised the cooperation of citizens with the police in maintaining security, stability and public tranquility.

The accused was referred to the competent authorities.
