Biden: Washington will work with Riyadh to support truce in Yemen

JEDDAH, Jul.16 (YPA) – US President Joe Biden has revealed that the United States has worked with Saudi Arabia to support the truce in Yemen.

Speaking from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia,  Joe Biden reiterated his country’s commitment to help protect Saudi Arabia from Iranian threats.

Biden said the three-month-old truce in Yemen has led to a more peaceful phase since seven years ago.

He added,  it was agreed to complete the diplomatic process to reach a broader settlement in Yemen.

Observers of Yemen that the US administration sought to implement the truce in Yemen for fear of Yemeni missile  and drone strikes on the oil refineries in Saudi Arabia because it needed every drop of oil due to Western sanctions against Russia.

It is worth mentioning that the National Salvation  Government in Sana’a condemned Biden’s visit in a statement issued Friday, in which it confirmed that Sana’a, its revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council and free Yemenis reject this visit, its well-known results, and its malicious objectives against  the region and its peoples.
