Biden’s advisor celebrates Saudi Arabia’s change in dealing with Jews
WASHINGTON, Jul. 07 (YPA) – The US Special Envoy to Combat Anti-Semitism, Deborah Lipstadt, has said that Saudi Arabia has changed a lot with regard to its view and treatment of Jews.
In a media statement, she said, “The kingdom has become a place that changes dramatically in relation to the Jews,” as she put it.
“They removed anti-Semitic contents from textbooks in large quantities, hosted Jewish groups, and sent imams abroad,” she added, referring to the removal of verses from the Holy Qur’an that speak of Jews from school curricula.
“Senior government officials in Saudi Arabia wanted to see me, and journalists and other elements showed that there was a real change in this,” said Lipstadt, a senior adviser to US President Joe Biden.
On the Saudi-Zionist relations, the American official said: “I do not know when we will see diplomatic relations, but I have seen a change…I have seen a desire to talk and a desire to admit mistakes.”
US President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit the Zionist entity in the middle of this month, to fly a direct plane from Tel Aviv to Saudi Arabia, amid reports that he will carry in his pocket what will push the normalization process between the Israeli occupation and Saudi Arabia forward.
