Israeli army carries out campaign of incursions, arrests in West Bank

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Jul. 06 (YPA) – The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported that the Israeli occupation army carried out, at dawn Wednesday, a campaign of incursions and arrests in the West Bank.

In a statement, the Palestinian Prisoners Club said: “The Israeli occupation forces launched a massive campaign of arrests in the West Bank at dawn today, targeting more than 40 citizens, including one wounded from Jenin, and at least 30 from Silwad / Ramallah, and other towns in it.

The campaign was accompanied by widespread abuse and sabotage, and the arrests included citizens from the governorates of Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Jenin, Hebron, and Al-Quds.

The Prisoner Club stated that “Silwad town is witnessing a recent escalation in arrests, accompanied by widespread abuse and sabotage, and included the arrest of former prisoners who were arrested several times.”

The arrests constitute the most prominent systematic policies implemented by the occupation authorities on a daily basis, in an attempt to undermine any escalating confrontation situation, and none of the groups, whether youth, children, women, the elderly and the sick, are excluded.

The Palestinian news agency “Wafa” indicated that “the occupation forces raided, at dawn today, Wednesday, a number of houses in Bethlehem and searched them.”
