UAE refuses to release activist “Jamajim”, defies Hadramout court
HADRAMOUT, Jun. 09 (YPA) – The UAE forces command in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, on Thursday rejected the court’s decision to release the activist in the “Southern Movement”, Abdulfattah Saleh, known as “Jamajim”.
The activist Jamajim’s brother confirmed that the commander of the UAE forces at Al-Rayyan Airport in the city of Mukalla refused to release his brother Jamajim, despite a court ruling acquitting him of the charges against him.
The UAE forces arrested the Southern Movement’s member, Jamajim, who opposes their presence in the southern provinces, at the end of last October in Mukalla city, while he was going to receive the leader, Hassan Oum, on charges of espionage and disturbing security and social peace.
Jamajim had survived during the last period from assassination attempts by improvised explosive devices in Aden city, and the UAE militia forced him to leave the city for Shabwa province, and he moved from the latter to Mukalla.
