Abyan governor reveals coalition’s transfer of dozens of extremist elements to province

SANAA, June. 09 (YPA) – Abyan governor, Saleh Al-Junaidi, revealed the Saudi-led transferred dozens of extremist elements to the province.

Al-Junaidi affirmed in a news statement that military movements led by UAE-backed Tariq Afash” and “Abu Zara’a Al Muharrami”, represented by the transfer of hundreds of extremist Salafist elements from the western coast and various areas of Lahj to Abyan province, in conjunction with the escalation of the recruitment of children and youth.

The governor described mobilizing young people and children from the districts of Lawdar, Al-Mahfad of Abyan to the recruitment camps run by coalition a war crime in accordance with international humanitarian law and a conspiracy targeting Abyan and its sons.

He called on the sheikhs and notables of the province of Abayn to stop the depletion of the province’s children and youth by, through Saudi funding and Salafi groups cooperation.

The governor confirmed that the establishment of brigades in a number of districts of Abyan by the coalition countries recently aimed to enhance the presence of the military organizations and give them a cover with new names such as the “Happy Yemen” and “The Commandos” brigades, in an attempt to undermine the social peace in the province and create a pretext for the foreign occupation to stay in the southern provinces under the pretext of combating terrorism and controlling over oil and gas sources.
