ADEN, May 25 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) officially admitted on Wednesday the existence of a crisis within the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council.
Deputy head of the media department in the STC, Mansour Saleh, revealed “that differences are currently raging over what he described as “unilateral decisions” without achieving consensus, in reference to Rashad Al-Alimi’s announcement of his arrangement of decisions to merge the STC armed factions.
In a press statement, Saleh described all of Al-Alimi’s decisions as “legally null,” stressing the STC’s rejection of any of them.
He called on Al-Alimi to realize the fact that the reality would change and work towards achieving the consensus emanating from the Riyadh-run consultations.
This Saleh’s remarks coincided with the escalation of the STC and its waving of political and military options, which indicates reaching two parties to a crossroads.
