Coalition troops commit 121 violations of UN-declared truce

SANAA, May 18 (YPA) – The US-backed Saudi-led aggression coalition forces and their mercenaries have committed 121 violations of the humanitarian and military truce, the official Yemeni news agency Saba reported on Tuesday, citing a military source.

The source declared that the violations included seven raids of reconnaissance planes hit citizens’ homes and the army’s sites in Al-Muthalath and Al-Noqtaa areas of Qataaba district, Al-Zylah and Al-Adan areas of Murais district in Dhalea province.

According to the military source, 47 armed reconnaissance aircrafts flew over Marib, Taiz Jawf, Hajjah, Saada and Dhalea provinces.

The source affirmed that new combat fortifications were created around Marib city.

He also said that 19 violations by an artillery and missile shelling were recorded at the army’s sites in Al-Malaheedh and Al-Madafin areas of Saada.

The source pointed out that an artillery bombing attacked the army’s sites in Bani Hassan area of Hajjah, Wabnan area of Murais district in Dhalea and Wadi Jara and south of Al-Amood area in Jizan region.

In addition, the source declared that 48 breaches were recorded, with heavy shooting at citizens’ homes and sites of the army and popular committees in Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, and Dhalea and border fronts.
