ZDF: Latin America stands with Russia

SANAA, May 17 (YPA) – Latin American countries “Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Argentina” are fully support Moscow’s official actions and operation in Ukraine, German television channel ZDF reported.

According to the channel, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro recently said that his country stands strongly with Russia.

In Cuba during traditional Labor Day celebrations, people were seen carrying Russian flags and the Z symbol in support of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.

In Argentina, the Vice-President, Cristina Kirchner, referred to the conflict with the United Kingdom over the Falkland Islands and the Kingdom’s position on states with which it did not stand against Russia.

Brazilian presidential candidate Lula da Silva expressed confidence that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was responsible for what was happening.

The United States has made it clear that most Latin American countries are reluctant to oppose Russia.

Earlier, the Global Times noted that many countries in Asia, South America and Africa strongly refuse to support sanctions against Russia, while most countries in the Middle East are ignoring the crisis in Ukraine.
