STC transfers weapons from Aden to Dhalea

ADEN, March 31 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions have started transporting weapons from Yemen’s southern port city of Aden to Dhalea province.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on testimonies of local sources.

According to local sources in Aden, the council factions began moving various weapons towards the city of Dhalea, the main stronghold of Aidarous al-Zubaidi, The president of the STC.

They pointed out that military convoys consist of trucks transporting various weapons and equipment and reinforced with tight security protection were seen coming out of Zubeidi’s “Al-Asefah” camps in Aden and heading towards Dhalea province.

It is not yet clear the council’s goal of this step, which may include emptying the so called “interim capital” of weapons, or whether it is a preparation for the stage after the Riyadh consultations.
