Yemeni army forces coalition’s troops to withdraw from Dowar area

HODEIDAH, June 18 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Monday forced Saudi-led coalition troops to withdraw from Dowar area to Dureihemi district after fierce clashes lasted three days, according to Yemen Press Agency’s reporter in Hodeidah province.

The air force-backed coalition forces rushed to Dureihemi area before being besieged by the army and the popular committees in the area from four directions, the reporter said.

The reported confirmed that several of the infiltrating coalition troops fell dead and wounded, including deputy chief of general staff in the UAE forces, during the clashes.

The coalition warplanes re-bombed the areas of Dowar and Dureihemi and explosions were heard in the areas, the reporter added.
