Dozens of Yemenis trapped inside Yemenia plane at Cairo airport

CAIRO, Feb. 20 (YPA) – Dozens of Yemeni passengers on Flight 603 have been stranded on one of Yemenia Airways planes at Cairo airport since  six hours ago, well-informed sources reported.

“Imagine that the passengers of Flight 603 on Yemen Airways from Cairo to Aden have been stuck on the plane since 12:00 p.m. so far, the plane has not taken off and has not been returned to the airport campus and all passengers are stuck inside,” Ahmad al-Basha said in a post on his Facebook page.

He added, dozens of patients have been trapped inside the plane for more than 6 hours, some of them in poor health conditions and no solutions have been found, even a justification from the crew has not issued.

The crew of the plane did not give an appropriate justification. They  sometimes say that the plane suffered a malfunction in the cargo gate and sometimes they say the departure permit from the alliance has expired.

According to L’Express magazine, the Airbus A330, recently purchased by Hadi’s government, was among two planes that sent to airplane boneyards in Arizona in the US .
