International company secretly organizes famous Saudi festival

LONDON, Feb. 03 (YPA) – A British newspaper has revealed that the “VICE Media Group” company organized the famous Azimuth music festival in the Saudi desert, in secret, for fear of its reputation, due to the Kingdom’s bad file in the field of human rights.

“The Guardian” newspaper pointed out that the global company organized the festival for $ 20 million, as part of the media company’s ongoing efforts to make money in this Middle Eastern country, despite the country’s poor human rights record.

Only three years after Vice announced that it was temporarily freezing all business in Saudi Arabia due to the repercussions of the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, those close to the company told the newspaper that it is again seeking vigorously to obtain job opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to the newspaper.

Although the festival received little publicity in the Western media, especially since it happened at the beginning of the “Corona” pandemic, it is believed that it was very profitable for “Vice”, as employees in the company estimate that the total budget was $ 20 million.
