SANAA, Feb. 03 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology on Thursday warned of a widespread dust wave over the desert areas in the provinces of Shabwa, Jawf, Marib, and Hadramout.
The center confirmed in its weather bulletin Thursday that the dust wave leads to a decrease in horizontal visibility.
It expected that cold to very cold weather would continue in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, and Bayda, and cold in the heights of the provinces of Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Ibb, Dhalea, and the western provinces of Marib and Jawf.
The center stated that the weather in the coastal areas will be clear to partly cloudy over the coastal areas, with light and scattered rain falling on the western and southern coasts and the adjacent areas.
The weather in the Socotra archipelago will be partly cloudy, and winds will be northeasterly moderate, energizing at times, reaching 18 knots, according to the center’s bulletin.
The center warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, the sick, workers during the night and early morning, and travelers to mountainous heights, from very cold weather.
