SHABWA, Jan. 14 (YPA) – The Yemeni armed forces backed by popular committees on Friday repelled an attempt by the Saudi-led coalition forces to advance towards Harib and Ain districts in Shabwa province, a military source reported.

The military source said that the army forces and the popular committees inflicted huge losses on the coalition fighters, noting that more than 40 troops were wounded, including commanders of brigades and battalions, while six armored vehicles were destroyed and damaged.

The source explained that coalition gatherings were targeted with four  ballistic missiles and a drone, and the hit was accurate, killing and wounding dozens.

He noted that the coalition aircraft tried to support its fighters during their advance towards the two districts with 24 raids.
