Iran reveals new round of dialogue with Saudi Arabia

BAGHDAD, Jan. 06 (YPA) – The Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Iraj Masjedi, on Thursday announced that the fifth round of talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia would be held soon in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

In statements to the Iraqi “Al-Ahed” channel, which were quoted by the official Iranian news agency (IRNA), Masjedi said, “So far, four rounds of talks have been taken place under Iraqi sponsorship, in Baghdad.”

The Iranian ambassador explained that the reason behind delaying the fifth round was that the new government inauguration and that the work will begin to resume those negotiations.

He expressed his hope that the two parties would reach positive results.
