Missiles target US illegal base in Syria

DEIR EZZor, Dec. 14 (YPA) – The base of the American forces in the Al-Omar oil field area in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria, was hit by a missile attack on Monday evening.

The Russian “Sputnik” news agency reported that a number of missile shells fell on the base where the US Army forces are stationed in the Al-Omar oil field, the largest of the Syrian oil fields.

Local sources in the vicinity of the base confirmed to “Sputnik” that 4 successive explosions were heard and columns of smoke rose in the vicinity of the Al-Omar oil field, which the international coalition forces are taking as an illegal base east of Deir ez-Zor.

The sources indicated that an intensive flight of US forces’ drones was immediately active in the airspace of the oil field.
