Hodeida authority denounces coalition’s crime of executing captives

HODEIDA, Nov. 15 (YPA) – The local authority in Hodeida province strongly condemned the crimes of the execution against ten prisoners by the Saudi-led coalition forces.

The authority considered, in a news statement, that this cowardly and immoral criminal act committed by the aggression mercenaries contradicts all rules of the international humanitarian law and the Third Geneva Convention related to the protection of prisoners.

The statement reiterated the need for the United Nations and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities stipulated in international conventions, and to press for lifting the siege and putting an end to the war waged by the countries of aggression for more than six years.

The authority confirmed that this heinous crime is similar to the crimes committed by the elements of terrorist organizations against the prisoners and innocent people in many parts of the world.

The statement called on the United Nations, its envoy and its affiliated organizations in Yemen, and all the free people of the world to condemn this crime and take serious and effective action to prosecute its perpetrators, and to take the necessary measures to protect all prisoners.
