Kuwaiti government submits its resignation to country’s Emir

KUWAIT, Nov. 08 (YPA) – The cabinet meeting held Monday ended with the government officially submitting its resignation, in preparation for submitting it to the Emir of the country, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, Kuwaiti media said.

This is the second government formation to submit its resignation to Sheikh Nawaf since he assumed the reins of government.

At the beginning of this year, the government of Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah submitted its resignation after it was formed with only 28 days, thus becoming the second shortest government in the history of Kuwait.

The shortest government in the history of political life in Kuwait was the fourth government headed by Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, which was formed in 1965 for only 23 days.
