Large protests held in Liverpool against organizing int’l arms fair

SANAA, Oct. 13 (YPA) – A protest rally was held on Wednesday in Liverpool city, England, to prevent companies from displaying weapons of mass destruction, in one of the international exhibition in city.

According to The Canary news website based in the United Kingdom, dozens of activists from the Palestine movement climbed the AC Arena, calling for halting the exhibition’s activities.

The protesters affirmed that BIA’s Typhoon and Tornado aircraft contributed pivotally to the devastating attacks launched by Saudi Arabia on Yemen, which killed thousands and caused a humanitarian disaster.

The Palestinian Labor Organization said that the activists were occupying the event space to stop “the normalization of war crimes.

According to the report, the Liverpool Arms’ exhibition began on Tuesday, where it included arms companies such as (Al-Byte System – Bay System – Yelta Al-Byte), including arms companies producing Israel, as well as BAE Systems.
