TEHRAN, Oct. 11 (YPA) – Tehran conducted maneuvers of its air defense system, Brigadier General Qader Rahimzadeh, commander of the joint room for maneuvers in Iran, said on Monday.
Rahimzadeh affirmed that the aim of these maneuvers is to raise the readiness of the forces and to coordinate between the various sectors that fall under the comprehensive system of the Air Defense Force, including the Army Air Force, the Army Air Defense Force, and the Aerospace Force of the Revolutionary Guards.
He pointed out that the maneuvers would last for two days, starting at dawn on Tuesday, and include about half of the country’s airspace.
The Iranian official stated that during the maneuvers, they are trying to simulate the conditions of the real attack of the enemies and prepare to confront aircraft, drones and missiles.
