Saudi military plane arrives at Socotra

SOCOTRA, Sept. 21 (YPA) – A Saudi military plane arrived on Tuesday at the airport in Hadibu city, the capital of Socotra Island, according o sources.

The sources on the island confirmed that the Saudi plane was carrying a number of Saudi officers, after the Saudi forces, which are based at Hadibu Airport, prevented the arrival of an Emirati plane on Monday, at the island’s airport.

Dozens of the Emirati-funded “Southern Transitional Council militia, wearing civilian clothes, carried out riots in front of the airport gate, indicating that the attacks targeted the Saudi soldiers and prevented them from leaving and entering the airport.

The city of Hadibu has witnessed, during the past two days, angry protests denouncing the deteriorating economic situation, the absence of services, and the lack of food.
