ABYAN, Aug. 31 (YPA) – Several militants of the Saudi-backed Islah Party were killed in clashes in Abyan province, south of Yemen, according to sources.
The official affirmed that the clashes happened in Al-Khabar area of Ahwar district, on the coastal road to Shaqra, due to looting their financial dues.
According to the sources, dozens of new recruits blocked the main road, in protest against the unfair financial discounts against them illegally.
The sources pointed out that members of Islah’s “Special Security Forces tried to open the road by force, and but dozens of protesters faced those forces.
