SANAA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – Mahra governor, Al-Qatabi Ali Hussein Al-Faraj, called on tibes and sheikhs of the province to actively participate in anti-occupation protests that will be held on Friday, to reject foreign interference and occupation.
Al-Qatabi said in a news statement on Thursday that the foreign military presence in the governorate is one of the conspiratorial schemes that seek to loot rights and property, confiscate freedoms, destroy the country’s structures, and undermine its independence.
He considered that this occupier coming to the province, under scandalous pretexts and schemes, has led to the disruption of the living life of citizens, and doubled their suffering, as well as health and humanitarian disasters, as a result of the absence of basic services.
Al-Qatabi stressed the importance of the role of the escalating activities and popular protests in rejecting any foreign presence inside the governorate.
The governor affirmed these popular activities would convey clear messages to the world about the grievance of the Mahra sons, revealing the facts and the ambitions and goals being sought by the foreign military intervention, under flimsy and tendentious pretexts.
He appealed to all free Yemenis to support the sons of Mahra in their struggle and steadfastness in the face of the Saudi and Emirati occupation and the British and American presence in the province.
