Meteorology warns against thunderstorms in several provinces

SANAA, Aug. 07 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected the rains of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, over a number of Yemeni provinces within the next 24 hours.

The center indicated, in its weather bulletin, that moderate to heavy rain would be likely to fall on separate areas of the mountainous highlands of the provinces of Saada, Taiz, Lahj Abyan, Shabwa, and Hadramout.

According to the center, a probability precipitations might be expected on parts of the western coasts and the deserts of Mahra, Hadrammout, Shabwa, Jawf and Marib.

The center warned citizens and drivers in areas where rain expected to avoid being in waterways and valleys, warning decrease in horizontal visibility and from rock and mudslides.
