STC military commander escapes assassination attempt in Abyan

ABYAN, Aug. 07 (YPA) – A military commander in UAE-backed southern transitional council militias escaped on Friday an assassination attempt in Abyan province.

Unknown gunmen fired at the commander Salim Suidah on the main road of al-Kood area then they escaped.

The security-belt forces deployed in the area to look for the gunmen, without revealing other details.

Previously, unknown gunmen believed to be from al-Qaeda militants failed to assassinate a recruit in the southern transitional militiamen in east of Zunjbar city.
