Military vehicles spread in Ataq city of Shabwa portend bloody confrontations

SHABWA, Jul.15 (YPA) – Dozens of military vehicles were deployed Thursday in the streets of Ataq city, the capital of Shabwa province, eyewitnesses reported.

This came after armed clashes erupted Wednesday evening between factions of the so-called security forces affiliated with Islah Party, which left five dead and wounded, at one of the security points at the entrances to Ataq city, according to the eyewitnesses.

The eyewitnesses added that some military vehicles were carrying anti-aircraft medium weapons of caliber 23, amid shooting in a city street.
