Money exchange companies closed in Aden
ADEN, Jul. 13 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia closed on Tuesday a number of exchange companies in the port city of Aden, due to the deterioration of the local currency rate against the foreign currency.
Local sources in the city said that the closure of the violating exchange companies and shops in the Crater area came under the directives of the Bank of Aden, and prevented them from selling foreign currency, except according to certain conditions and in limited quantities.
This comes after the deterioration of the local currency and the rise in the price of the dollar to nearly 1,000 Yemeni riyals, amid the continued printing of illegal currency by the “Hadi government.”
