Islah militants detain four leaders of STC in Shabwah

SHABWAH, Jun. 17 (YPA) – Islah militants detained several leaders of the UAE-backed Southern  Transitional Council (STC) in Shabwah province.

“Islah forces detained four members of the National Assembly in the Hadhramaut Valley while on their way to Aden to attend the first assembly session,” the Human Rights Department of the Executive Committee  in the STC said in a statement.

The statement explained that the reform factions intercepted the members of the association in Rudum directorate, before confiscating their personal documents.

The statement vowed to respond to the “provocative” actions of the “Islah authorities” in Shabwah.
