SANAA, Jun. 12 (YPA) – Citizens in Algeria will vote on Saturday to elect their representatives in the legislative elections.
More than 24 million Algerian voters are entitled to choose their representatives in the People’s National Assembly.
For this purpose, 13,000 polling centers and 61,543 polling offices were allocated, in addition to 357 polling offices abroad, in addition to 139 mobile offices.
In the context of these elections, the voting process was launched last Wednesday at the level of mobile offices scattered in isolated areas in the southern states, and it is related to 34 mobile offices that are included in the voting procedure 72 hours before the polling time and are distributed among the various isolated and border areas in the states of Ouargla (6 offices) and Tindouf (9) Tamanrasset (3), Illizi (5), Djanet (9) and Ain Qezzam (2), with the aim of enabling about 33,890 registered voters in the electoral lists to perform their electoral duty in the best conditions.
1483 lists participated in the legislative elections, including 646 party lists and 837 lists of free (independent) candidates, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune had summoned the electoral college for this election date on March 11 through a presidential decree issued in the Official Gazette the following day, Then, the extraordinary review of the electoral lists will begin in mid-March, and the process will conclude on the 23rd of the same month.
