NCM warns citizens of very hot weather within coming hours

SANAA, Jun 6 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has warned citizens in the desert areas, the interior plateaus, and the coastal plains and regions of extremely hot weather within the coming 24 hours.

The center in its forecast weather warned sea-goers, fishermen and captains of ships, especially small ones, in the Socotra archipelago and the southern and eastern coasts of high sea waves.

Mountain heights:

Clear to partly cloudy weather will be, with the possibility of forming clouds and scattered rain over separate areas of the western mountainous governorates from Lahj in the south to Dhamar in the north and on parts of the heights overlooking Tihama plain.

Coastal areas:

The weather would be partly cloudy, hot and humid during the day, with active winds on the southern and eastern coasts, reaching a maximum speed at 28 knots.

Desert areas:

The weather will be sunny and very hot, with the wind, carrying dust and sand, is reaching its speed at 20 on the deserts of Jawf, Marib, and northwest Shabwa.

Socotra Archipelago:

Partly cloudy weather continues in general, with active winds reaching its speed of 30 knots, causing sea turbulence and high waves.
