Hodeida condemns Saudi-led airstrikes on Salif port

HODEIDA, May 30 (YPA) – The local authority in Hodeida province strongly condemned on Sunday the Saudi-led coalition’s airstrikes that targeted Salif port.

The authority said in a statement 6 airstrikes by of the coalition fighter jets on the port are clear violations of the UN-sponsored Stockholm Agreement. This attacks came coinciding with the arrival of the UN Secretary-General’s envoy Martin Griffith to Sanaa.

It noted that the continued casualties of women, children and civilians due to the violations of the aggression and its mercenaries since the signing of the agreement, have confirmed the lack of commitment and indifference of the forces of the aggression coalition from the international community and the United Nations and their determination to commit crimes more.

The statement called on the international community, the United Nations and its institutions, especially the Peace Support Team in Hodeida, to play its humanitarian role to end the suffering of the people of the province, by pressuring on the aggression coalition’s states to stop the war and lift the siege imposed on Yemen.
