Canada sanctions four Israelis over West Bank violence

WORLD, May 18 (YPA) – Canada imposed on Thursday sanctions on four Israeli settlers accused of committing acts of violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.

With this action, Canada joins allies including the United States and Britain in an attempt to stop the increasing settler violence.

The sanctions, Canada’s first against what the foreign ministry described as “extremist Israeli settlers,” target individuals accused of engaging directly or indirectly in violence and violent acts against Palestinian civilians and their property, according to Reuters.
