New printed currency of 198 bln YR enters Aden central bank

ADEN, June 1 (YPA) – The central bank of Aden announced the arrival of 198 billion Yemeni Riyals of printed currency from Russia, the largest currency bloc to enter the bank in Aden.

The currency came after the occupation forces of the UAE, which control the course of navigation in the port of Aden, released the amount and allowed it to enter the bank after holding it for months.

The financial shipment, consisting of 11 containers, had been seized by the coalition’s leadership in Aden for two months and it was released on Friday.
