Health Ministry to launch polio vaccination campaign

SANAA, May 27 (YPA) – Ministry of Health is set to launch a vaccination campaign against polio during the coming week.

The ministry affirmed a statement that the campaign, which will be implemented from May 29-31, 2021 in all Yemeni provinces, and will target about 4 million 198 thousand and 165 children under the age of five.

It indicated that the campaign will be organized by the ministry, in cooperation and coordination with the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the Global Vaccination Alliance moving from home to home.

The Ministry called on parents to interact with the campaign and to guarantee the immunization of their children under the age of five as a religious, moral and humanitarian imperative step towards their children and their homeland.
