Sanaa forces announce shooting down coalition fighter plane

SANAA, May 20 (YPA) – The official spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, announced Thursday that the air defenses managed to shoot down a combat reconnaissance plane of the Saudi-led coalition forces on Najran front.

Brigadier General Sarie confirmed, in a statement, that the plane was hit with a surface-to-air missile, which has not yet been revealed, while it was carrying out hostile actions in the airspace of the Najran front.

He pointed out that the specifications of the aircraft and details of the operation will be published later.
