Marib governor condemns attacks on dozens of gas, oil tankers

MARIB, May 20 (YPA) – Marib governor, Ali Mohammed Toaiman, strongly condemned on Thursday an attack on dozens of gas and oil tankers by militants loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Al-Arqeen area in Abidah Valley in the province.

The governor said in a statement the coalition militants bombed with tanks and artillery the areas of Abaida tribe, some of which targeted a position containing 30 tankers loaded with gas and fuel, and led to the burning the tankers and serious damage to citizens’ property.

He pointed out that the Islah militants are provoking the tribes of Marib, restricting freedoms, stirring up problems, looting property and destroying equipment to serve their interests that increase the suffering of the sons of the province.

Toaiman held the coalition and Islah militants full responsible for the deliberate attack against gas tankers, villages and populated areas in the province.
